Nordhem has built upholstered furniture in Jämtland since 1948, starting with dining chairs for the region's school canteens. The workshop still sits on the same site, and still makes frames from local pine and birch.
Every seat is built around a jointed hardwood frame rather than a stapled one, which is what makes the covers worth replacing: Nordhem stocks replacement covers for ten years after a model leaves the catalogue, and will re-web a frame at any point in its life.
Description / Kaari Dining Chair
The Kaari Dining Chair embodies Nordic craftsmanship at its finest. Hand-shaped from solid oiled walnut, the gently curved backrest follows the natural contours of the spine, offering exceptional comfort during long meals and conversations.
Each chair celebrates the unique grain patterns of the wood, with subtle variations that make every piece distinctly yours. The warm walnut tones and clean silhouette bring understated elegance to any dining space.
